5.3 Worlds Coach Support 2025 - Deposit

ITCA (GBR) have arranged for coach support for 5.3 Sailors at the World Championships this year in Medemblik.

The coaches will be Issy Smith and Sally Dugdale.

The coach support will include pre-event training on the 19^th and 20^th July, and on-water support for the 21^st to 25^th July.

The coaches will be available to give a briefing in the mornings before launching - this is usually after the main briefing for all sailors.  They will then be on the water watching the racing and will be able to give any help and advice between races and finally at the end of the day, they will be available to give a debrief on the day's racing.

Please be aware, that the coaches will be part of the safety fleet and should the CSL (Course Safety Lead) deem that the conditions require their assistance then the support RIB may not available between races.

Should any sailor become involved in a protest then the coaches will be there to help.  They can assist with completing forms and can attend any protest hearing as support but are unable to comment on the sailor’s behalf.

Finally, we always arrange for the support boat to carry additional food and drinks for the sailors and extra spare kit in case of breakages.

The cost for the support is £400 per sailor. 

A non-refundable £50 deposit is required now to secure your place on the coach support.

The remaining balance will be due by 30^th June 2025.

Payment details for the balance will be notified on receipt of the deposit.

If all places on this coach support are full, please add your name to the waiting list. We will then be able to arrange additional coaches as needed.
